Engineering for Sustainable Development (ESD) | UOA

We envision a future in which engineering plays a major role in sustainable development, where engineers comprehend the social, environmental, cultural, and economic contexts within which they operate. It is a future where sustainability and people are at the heart of decision-making. ESD is a student-led club that connects, educates, and empowers students through sustainable engineering practices. - 🌐 Connect: We aim to create a community of students passionate about sustainable development and its interaction with engineering practices. This is a safe space where we can support and learn from one another. - 👩🎓 Educate: We strive to build the capacity of engineering students across multiple areas, helping them better understand the complexities of sustainable development. This includes technical capabilities, academia, and interpersonal skills. - 🎉 Empower: We run long-term sustainable engineering projects in collaboration with community groups to provide relevant opportunities for students interested in sustainable development and sustainable engineering. Our goal is to support students in creating meaningful change.
