We would like to introduce ourselves as EDC Engineers Diagnostic Centre (P) Ltd, a group of Engineers seeking professional excellence in the field of Geotechnical Engineering. We have blended experience and enthusiasm together to give the highest level of achievement.
We started off as a consulting firm with in-depth knowledge and experience in the field of Geo-technical and Structural Design; we further moved on to soil investigation, surveying and piling under the banner Cochin Engineering and Consultancy Services. Later on with the back up and support of Dr Prof Babu T Jose we started geotechnical testing laboratory under the brand name Engineers Diagnostic Centre in the year 2004. Under the same name we have tested soil samples and has provided recommendation of many major infrastructural projects.
Our major projects include ICTT Vallarpadom Container Terminal, ICTT road connectivity, LNG terminal, Kochi metro project, Agatti Airport Expansion, Dry Docking Facility for Cochin Shipyard, Carnival Infopark etc.
We have conducted fully fledged field investigation including conduction of soil investigation in land and water, conducting field vane shear test, conducted Static Cone penetration test in Land and water, conducting electric resistivity test etc, and lab testing including grain size distribution, Attembergs limit, specific gravity, Triaxial testing, One dimensional consolidation, UCC, Direct shear test, Chemical tests in soil and water etc and has provided recommendation for foundation system based on the findings.
