EngiRank - European Ranking of Engineering Programs

The second edition of the European Ranking of Engineering Programs, known as EngiRank 2024, was announced in Brussels, Belgium, on October 29, 2024. The first edition of the ranking received a very positive reception among European universities, institutions, and young people considering their choice of engineering studies. EngiRank 2024 continues this tradition by combining a regional approach with a focus on the education of competent and creative engineers. EngiRank serves as a tool to compare the quality of engineering and technology programs offered by universities across all 27 EU countries, as well as Norway and Switzerland. The ranking utilizes indicators specific to these regions, such as universities’ participation in the Erasmus+ and Horizon programs. Evaluating universities in countries with similar legal and cultural backgrounds, as well as those involved in joint research programs (European Research Council) and academic cooperation initiatives (consortia of European universities), ensures a reliable presentation of their strengths and weaknesses. Engineering education plays a key role in ensuring sustainable development in Europe. It is essential for creating innovative technologies and educating creative engineers capable of applying science to solve problems while being aware of the social consequences of their actions.
