England Karate

England Karate has been formed by 4 large Karate Associations to fulfil the role of National Governing body for the sport of Karate in England. These 4 Karate groups are the founding members and England Karate will draw strength from their expertise and geographical reach. Reflecting the best practice code for sports governance the Board will comprise 7 Karate directors drawn from the founding members and others individuals with skills and experience from the English Karate world. There will also be 5 Independent Directors with relevant skills one of whom acts as Chair. England Karate continues to receive ongoing support and advice from Sport England in the quest for National Govering body status.
