Enovert was formed in January 2017 prior to which the business formed part of the highly successful Cory Environmental group responsible for landfill management, landfill gas and landfill restoration activities.
Enovert's landfill sites are operated to the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance, providing safe and secure disposal for many types of waste. The operation our sites is conducted in accordance with the facility’s Environmental Permit and planning consent. Enovert’s associated operations includes the extraction of landfill gas to generate electricity which, is a service we also provide to third parties, plus processes to treat and manage landfill leachate for complaint disposal.
The UK continues to rely on the use of landfill for waste disposal whilst other waste treatment and disposal options are developed and delivered by the industry. Pressure remains on government and local authorities to divert waste from landfill and improve the recovery and recycling of resources. Whilst the use of landfill is in decline it remains an important component of the UK's waste disposal sector.
Today Enovert continues to build on our reputation for providing safe and efficient disposal of waste by landfill and fulfilling our commitment to restoring landfill sites to a natural environment at the end of their working life. In addition, by extracting landfill gas from our sites we are providing a form of renewable energy that contributes to reducing the UK's reliance on fossil fuels. Our restoration schemes also provide opportunities for enhancement from tree planting for carbon capture to the introduction of other renewables technology delivering greater long-term environmental benefit.
