Entelligence systematically investigates the "innovation gap" in the incubator market; on the one hand, most entrepreneurs do not know the way to relevant scientific research institutions and on the other hand, the universities themselves are unable to market their own inventions. Entelligence is focused on and supports the exploitation and societal impact of (technical) intellectual property through Valorisation. "Valorisation is the exploitation process of (scientific) knowledge into (commercially) viable products, processes or services (money or value)." - Techno partner. For the implementation of valorisation, Entelligence co-operates with specialised entrepreneurs. Their combined knowledge, expertise and network enable Entelligence to create and successfully market new or innovative products and services. The co-operation is manifested in service or branch focused (start-up) companies. Since her early start Entelligence has adopted the corporate philosophy and to some extent the breeding model of American incubator Ycombinator (founded by the Harvard alumni founder Paul Graham, Robert Morris, Trevor Blackwell, and Jessica Livingston). In most cases a minority stake is acquired in the respective start-ups, this has proven (very) motivating for entrepreneurs participating in the incubation program.
