Safe Mode is an organization dedicated to providing education and training to members of the community, and law enforcement, about how to address the dangers facing children online. Topics available include sexting, child pornography, luring a minor for sexual acts, cyber bullying, sex trafficking, and furnishing harmful images to minors. Audience-specific programs are specially tailored for parents or guardians of children, school-aged minors, and law enforcement investigating these internet-based crimes.
The founders of Safe Mode, as well as all instructors, have worked or are currently involved in law enforcement investigations of internet crimes involving children. Experienced investigators, as well as state and federal prosecutors, will share their knowledge and expertise regarding how online crimes occur, how to protect children from being victimized, as well as how to best support and communicate with children regarding these issues.
