Join us in our innovative research and education in Earth Observation (EO) and Geoinformatics at the EO4Landscape research team! Our team, based at the Department of Applied Geoinformatics and Cartography, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, Czechia, is passionate about exploring advanced classification methods using earth observation data, time series, big data, and cloud computing to better understand our planet's landscapes. Our research interests cover a range of topics, including forest disturbance and recovery, phenology, long-term Land Use/Land Cover Change (LUCC), and driving forces of LUCC and LULUCF. We don't just stop there - our team also dedicates significant effort towards capacity building and education activities in GIS and EO, ranging from workshops and trainings to summer schools for all levels of education. What sets us apart is our unique exploration of 3D modelling, where we fuse cultural heritage modelling with history, GIS and EO data, and specialize in data visualization. Our team is dedicated to the visualization of dynamic landscape changes, employing web GIS technologies and map services to create captivating web map applications.
