Founded in 2001, Engineering Office Deisenroth Canada (EODC Inc.) is a subsidiary of IBD Deisenroth Engineering of Lohmar, Germany, a world-class technology leader with over 30 years of R&D excellence in advanced materials and survivability solutions. EODC specializes in the development, prototyping, qualification, production and service of survivability solutions for light to heavy armoured vehicles. EODC provides program knowledge, qualified survivability technologies, prototyping, testing and qualification expertise, and manufacturing of vehicle add-on armour, protection kits and liner systems. EODC has delivered add-on armour, protection kits and liners to the Canadian Armed Forces and other forces abroad. EODC innovative solutions are based on reliable Modular Expandable Armour System (MEXAS) ceramic-faced armour and next-generation IBD PROTech™, NanoTech™ and FLEXIComp™ materials that provide lighter weight protection options, 3-D shaped applications and outstanding system performance. Next-generation materials, such as nano-ceramics, nanometric steel and nano-composites, and a proven modular approach are used to provide the highest system performance while reducing overall weight of armoured vehicles. Manufacturing capabilities and expertise includes: water jet and laser cutting, computer numerically controlled (CNC) automatic blade cutting, vacuum pressing, CWB-certified welding, CARC painting, X-Ray and CNC machining of specialized parts. EODC also conducts Repair & Overhaul and demilitarization of survivability solutions at its 60,000 square foot facility in Ottawa.
