EPAC is a company which is specialised in the mounting and assembling process of electronics Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). With that electronic components are mounted on a PCB and subsequently soldered. Nowadays, PCB assemblies contain a high share of so called Surface Mount Devices (SMD). The rather small parts are placed on the PCB by means of a pick-and-place machine.
Some components are not available in SMD encasing due to physical limitations. This happens often with power electronics, where heat transport can be one of the limitations. Apart from this, there are still a lot of less recent designs, which are applied in many apparatus and machines For all these applications it is necessary to place conventional through-hole components as well. The placement of this kind of parts in small and medium large series is done manually. Due to labour costs, some companies will start to investigate if Eastern Europa or in some case the Far East is an alternative.
Now EPAC can not only supply SMD-assembling, but also provide cost effective manual mounting and assembling. Doing so we can preserve employment for The Netherlands and combine corporate social responsibility with innovative entrepreneurship.
