EPIC Scotland

EPIC Scotland (Epidemiology, Population health and Infectious disease Control), is an ambitious animal health consortium project at the forefront of research on animal disease outbreaks, with a specific focus on their impacts on Scotland's livestock. EPIC's research spans exotic and emerging diseases affecting cattle, sheep, pigs, and poultry, and employs a multi-disciplinary approach that integrates statistics, veterinary epidemiology, mathematical modeling, economics, molecular biology, and social sciences. Funded by the Scottish Government, EPIC collaborates closely with other centers of expertise contributing to a holistic approach to safeguard the welfare of Scotland's livestock industry and stakeholders.
