About EPICS Harnessing Data Revolution (HDR)
Harnessing Data Revolution is part of the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) at Purdue University. It is a non-profit organization that is committed to creating a website that imports data and displays it with interactive graphics and various customizations. The database is from the Standing Rock Tribe of North and South Dakota, and they are about various information about their dams, gauges, and mesonet sites. Our project partners are Emily Biggane, a research faculty member at the United Tribes Technical College and Doug Crow Ghost the Chairman of the Great Plains Tribal Water Alliance and Director of the Standing Rock Water Resources Department. Our website displays different graphs and information with the usage of Python, JavaScript, Html, and CSS. The data that is displayed graphically shows relationships between variables in the environment to make conclusions for various decisions that Standing Rock Tribe will make that will affect their lands.
