AGC Vinythai produces bio-based epichlorohydrin (ECH) using an innovative process at its plant in Map Ta Phut, Thailand. Since 2012, AGC Vinythai has produced the most sustainable ECH in terms of carbon footprint and process environmental performance. In 2015, AGC Vinythai was the first biochemical producer in Asia to be certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB). AGC Vinythai’s ECH is 100% bio-based and manufactured using renewable glycerine, a by-product from the transformation of vegetable oils. It can be utilised as a drop-in for a wide range of industries. AGC Vinythai partners with leading companies across the value chain who valorise bio-based ECH for epoxy and non-epoxy applications.
