EPP-Forum e.V. repräsentiert ein interdisziplinäres und aktives Netzwerk mit Akteuren aus Industrie und Forschung entlang der kompletten Wertschöpfungskette für expandiertes Polypropylen (EPP). Ziel des EPP-Forums ist es, den interdisziplinären Austausch über und das Bewusstsein für EPP in Industrie, Forschung und Öffentlichkeit zu fördern.
Der Schaumkunststoff EPP wurde erstmals in den 1980ern entwickelt. Es handelt sich dabei um einen Partikelschaumstoff, der auf Polypropylen (PP) basiert. Seit seiner Erfindung Mitte der 80er Jahre haben sich die Einsatzmöglichkeiten von EPP als nachhaltiger Leichtbau-, Design und Isolationswerkstoff aufgrund des einzigartigen Profils kontinuierlich gesteigert.
Netzwerkarbeit und Nachwuchsförderung, Workshops und Wettbewerbe, Messen und Marketing - genauso vielseitig wie unser Werkstoff - sind auch die Maßnahmen, mit denen das EPP-Forum expandiertes Polypropylen bekannter machen und aus dem Kreis der "Hidden Champions" in die erste Reihe bringen möchte.
EPP-Forum e.V. represents an interdisciplinary and active network with actors from industry and research along the entire value chain for expanded polypropylene (EPP). The EPP Forum stimulates the transfer of knowledge about EPP. It supports research in the areas of material development and manufacturing techniques.
