EqR∞ was founded in 2021 by Managing Director, Laura Richardson, following her return to the UK from running large scale, global leading equestrian operations in Asia for the past 10 years. Prior to working in Asia, Laura was a highly successful rider in the UK and Internationally, representing Team GB at European and World Championships in Dressage. Laura has extensive experience and a dedicated passion for the successful rehabilitation, retraining and rehoming of retired racehorses to transition into meaningful and happy second careers. Laura also has successfully developed award winning sustainability processes in Hong Kong and through EqR∞ plans to further develop her commitment to implementing sustainable stable operations in the UK. EqR∞ was named to reflect the dual aspects of the businesses services: EQ symbolising not only the Equestrian aspect but also the Emotional Intelligence that the business holds as a core value to all its activities and interactions with its clients, staff, horses and the environment. The R represents the founders surname Richardson, but more importantly the key word activities of the business, Retired Racehorses, Rehabilitation, Retraining, Rehoming as well as the environmentally sustainable Recycling and Repurposing of operations waste materials. The ∞ symbol, represents the infinite possibilities for all retired racehorses futures and the opportunities from sustainable stable operations through recycling and positive repurposing of equestrian industry waste products. EqR∞ is based at the historic Epsom racing stables "The Limes" which having been left derelict for the past 20 years and has now been sensitively restored to house up to 40 horses. The high standing chalk based grazing land has been sympathetically cleared of overgrowth and completely refenced using recycled PvC fencing supported by solar powered electricity. Laura and the EqR∞ team look forward to welcoming clients and horses to The Limes.
