Equipment Now Australia is owned and operated by Troy and Tess from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. When Troy was stood down from his job during the 2020 pandemic he turned to other solutions to pay the bills. One of those ideas was renting out an excavator and some trailers. One of the problems that he found was finding the best way to advertise and manage his equipment as a small business. This is where the idea of Equipment Now was born, a peer to peer platform for everyone - from weekend DIY-ers, through to civil construction - to be able to effectively share their gear between one another. Since launching the platform, Equipment Now has welcomed a number of sole traders and bigger businesses, such as Lewis Auto Hire - a vehicle leasing provider to the mining industry with over 350 vehicles!
