Equipotential NZ Incorporated

Our programmes work holistically to develop a range of skills and abilities as well as improving wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem through interaction with our team of horses. Equipotential creates an environment of inclusion and success. Enabling participants from all over the Waikato to be actively engaged in their learning through completing tasks and activities associated with horsemanship and horse riding. Our programmes provide transferable skills to participants which improves their quality of life and enhances learning and meaningful participation in all aspects of their lives within the community. The benefits of our programmes include:  Enhanced mental and emotional wellbeing through creating connections with the horses - living beings that are responsive and non-judgmental  Improved physical health and self-confidence though developing horsemanship and riding skills.  Family and social health through an inclusive approach which promotes teamwork, supports peers and enables participants to demonstrate their achievements to whanau.  Personal growth gained through learning to moderate emotions, focusing on the task at hand and being actively involved in the planning of goals and personally significant outcomes.  Aligned with NZ Education Curriculum core competencies.
