Equitable Origin

Equitable Origin is the first stakeholder-based, independent, voluntary standards system designed to enable high social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability in energy development. We work with communities, companies and governments to deliver practical tools and guidelines, disseminate best practices, and provide independent recognition of social and environmental performance of energy projects. Development of renewable and non-renewable energy sources is expanding to meet the demands of a growing and modernizing world population. Equitable Origin is dedicated to making sure new development projects--from wind farms to natural gas wells to hydroelectric dams--are carried out responsibly and with respect for local people and environments.
