EquityEats helps restaurants raise capital from their local community through equity crowdfunding. Working with the DC regulators, EquityEats facilitated the first restaurant equity crowdfund for a restaurant - Prequel Restaurant Incubator - raising $350,000 from 460 investors.
EquityEats then went on to work with dozens of restaurants around the US to raise capital through equity and debt financing.
In 2016, after building software and operating our own 18,000 sq ft restaurant in DC, we discovered a much better model for funding restaurants that didn't involve equity or debt. Out of that discovery inKind was born.
