Equity Endowment

Equity Endowment works to close the racial wealth gap by sustainably raising and deploying capital. A 501c3 public charity via a fiscal sponsor program of Players Philanthropy Fund, Equity Endowment will create an endowment fund consisting of a diversified portfolio of investment funds operated by diverse leaders, and funds leveraging strategies targeting investment in minority lead businesses and communities. We will then take the proceeds of the endowment and grant it to non-profit organizations, doing the programmatic work of closing the wealth gap with an emphasis on new business creation and entrepreneurial enablement. This will create a 100% mission-aligned portfolio and a new, sustainable approach to solving the pipeline problem of access to capital for minority businesses and mission-aligned nonprofits. Our approach will demonstrate how philanthropy and investments can be leveraged for impact.
