Easton, Redding, & Region 9 School Districts (ER9) uses social media to communicate information concerning its schools, including school-sponsored events, programs, student and staff recognitions, and other school-related topics. Our use of these social media sites is aimed at engaging in open, respectful conversation. However, it is not intended to be a public forum. Comments posted to these accounts will be routinely monitored and may be disabled on certain posts. We require all comments, private messages, and other interactions through these sites to be respectful and courteous, and we reserve the right to remove inappropriate comments including, without limitation the following: individually identifiable student information; individually identifiable information of any person posted without their consent; obscene language or sexual content; threatening or insulting language directed at any person or organization; content promoting, fostering, or perpetuating discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, financial status, national origin, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation; promotion of illegal activity; copyrighted or confidential material posted without permission; spam, advertising, or solicitations; off-topic or disruptive remarks. ER9 reserves the right to temporarily block or ban users whose posts or comments on our social media pages violate the above. All posts may be subject to records retention requirements and the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Users are responsible for all content uploaded to the ER9 social media accounts, including any copyrighted or otherwise protected content. Users have no expectation of privacy and should refer to the privacy and security policies of each respective social media site for information and with any questions.
