Erfaringssentrum - The national association of peer support workers in Norway is an interest organization for peer support workers who are employed in welfare services on the basis of their own lived experience. We also want support from those who are interested in promoting the use of peer support workers who are hired on the basis on their lived experience with using welfare services.
The main goal of the organization is to develop and strengthen the professional role and working conditions of peer support workers in Norway. The organization has a a main goal of ensuring that a new profession is developed in the welfare services where people with lived experience are employed in the welfare services to help service users and develop more services that are more adapted to the service users needs.
Erfaringssentrum prioritises:
1) To work for good working conditions for people with lived experience employed in welfare services.
2) To Contribute in the development of a profession in Norway where people with lived experience is recognized on equal terms as other professionals within the welfare services
3) To conduct skills development, counseling and political work for peer support workers in Norway.
4) To create networks, conferences and events for peer support workers in Norway that inspire them to be better peer support workers.
