Erle Robotics was a startup dedicated to build a new generation of open source, Linux-driven robots and flying robot autopilots. The company designed and launched some of the first real-time capable Linux-based commercial autopilots for drones with support for the Robot Operating System (ROS). Throughout two years of operation sold Erle Robotics thousands of autopilots and flying robot kits. In 2016, the company was acquired and sold completely to Acutronic Robotics AG.
