Since 1947 ESA has prided itself on crew management and the wide range of resulting activities such as the selection and recruitment of crew members as well as the control of administrative practices related to embarking and disembarking, distribution, the training and ongoing management of officers and mariners employed by ships (under complete management or requiring crew management only). In particular, The Crew Recruitment Department at ESA specializes in recruiting and managing seafarers. Through a variety of recruitment strategies, the department sources trained and certified crew members who are well-suited to join the fleets managed by ESA. Our research is aimed primarily at the management of officers who have completed training experiences aboard or who want to develop new ones.
