ESEA ceramics

Behind ESEA hide the hands of Gintarė Vaicekauskaitė, a contemporary art graduate, public space-related video art creator, ceramist, and florist. „Analyzing how structure affects my body and mind, I began looking for what would fascinate and provide ease. This is how I discovered ceramics, a craft that requires putting the analytical mind aside and calls for a phenomenological experience of clay. While processing the latter, I observe yet-unobserved thoughts and feelings that arise in me. It amounts to establishing a firm link with self through a relation to an object. Thus, pottery eventually made me put up with the fact that my works are very much about me, an idiosyncratic being with certain flaws, acceptable as beautiful elements. Later it turned out that clay was an inorganic base for flora, which flooded ESEA with its organic vividness.“
