About ESME SU (Egyptian Society of Material Engineers)
ESME is the first scientific society oriented to metallurgical and material engineering students in Egypt and North Africa region. It was founded in 2009 at the faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Suez University. After several years of evolving, ESME became a remarkable student chapter and exceeded the limit of 80 active members and still attracting more. ESME also managed to establish three branches in Cairo University, Al-Azhar University and Al-Azhar Qena University to help the students of materials Engineering departments. Vision: ESME is devoted to qualifying materials engineering students to meet the job market needs for professional and fresh graduates. We take responsibility for developing our members' character not only by enhancing their technical knowledge but also by improving their soft skills. Our main aim is to link academic knowledge to application and provide social activities for members to enrich their minds and experience. We also focus on building leaders who can guide and work with their teams to make a difference and fulfill prosperous careers. Mission: ● Facilitate communication between students and industrial foundations through providing field trips, yard trips, and training opportunities to sharpen and apply their knowledge. ● Expand the students' academic knowledge, especially in the materials engineering field, through our technical workshops, events, and conferences. ● Provide an efficient, sharp, and skillful environment for members to develop their sense of responsibility and professionalism. ● ESME focuses on developing the members' character and soft skills through our activities and meetings. That is accomplished by practicing teamwork, developing their talents and potential, and giving them the experience of decision making. Our Facebook page provides enjoyable content in different fields. Spare a few minutes and take a look at the newest posts: facebook.com/EsmeSuez
