ESMOD was founded in 1841 by Alexis Lavigne, tailor of the Empress Eugénie and the inventor of the bust mannequin, flexible centimeter and first written method. ESMOD was the first school in the world to value and convey the basics of expertise so preciously guarded. ESMOD Beirut signed an agreement with the Universite Saint Joseph (USJ) in July 2017 allowing its students to benefit from the Bachelor Degree (BA or Licence) delivered by the Ministry of Higher Education. This partnership is a milestone in the history of ESMOD Beirut. The Lebanese Government has officially recognized its three-year intensive program (180 ECTS) as a BA.
