EspaceTrad

EspaceTrad is a non-profit organization that creates opportunities for the Montreal community to learn about traditional Quebec performing arts all while having fun. Established in 1981 as the society for the promotion of traditional Quebec dance (SPDTQ), the non-profit is known for: - "l'École des arts de la veillée," a music and dance school in Ahuntsic - "les Veillées du Plateau," group dance nights in the Plateau - "Danse-Neige," an annual, weekend-long winter workshop - "le Festival Trad Montréal," a music festival formerly known as "le Festival la Grande Rencontre" EspaceTrad aims to teach, share and advocate for traditional Quebec music and dance in the greater Montreal area through inclusive, unifying activities.
