The Essex County Schools of Technology (ECST) is the oldest vocational and technical district in the State of New Jersey. Founded in 1925, ECST has provided Essex County youth with educational opportunities and job training experiences to prepare them for post-secondary studies and the world of work. With approximately 2300 students, ECST provides an enriching educational experience to meet the needs and interests of its highly diverse student population, including but not limited to Advanced Placement courses, college level courses, associates degree program, industry recognized credentials, pre-apprenticeship programs, and much more...The Adult Education program also prepares adults through out the community with job training and basic skills educational programs.
