The Esther Blaska Scholarship Fund was established in 2014 by Michael Cantu to honor the legacy of Esther Blaska, a remarkable woman whose passion for teaching through piano and performance left a lasting impact on the lives of both children and adults. Her dedication, love, and kindness touched countless students and those around her. Although she passed away in 2003 after a long illness, her influence endures.
Since its inception, the fund has awarded 117 full scholarships (as of 2023) to students committed to making a positive impact in the world. In addition to supporting undergraduate students, the fund is also helping several graduate students pursue their academic goals.
