ETESIAS is a startup company developing an innovative, sustainable, efficient and flexible process based on 3D printing for the production of new prefabricated reinforced concrete elements. Is the only owner of a family patents related to the fabrication of reinforced concrete (RC) elements based on concrete 3D printing and robotics/automation, that are combined to produce a new class of products, with highly innovative properties and performances. The approach is based on the idea that the concrete elements can be cut into several ‘segments’ that are 3D printed separately and assembled, along with the steel reinforcement, to create the final shape. Once the overall beam is ‘ideally’ cut into several segments, each beam segment is designed and optimized to save material (up to the 50% of concrete) while still guaranteeing the required mechanical performances, by reducing CO2 emission. Our ambition is to become the reference in Europe in concrete 3D printing for prefabricated elements, with a structural function.
