About ETH Spatial Development and Urban Policy - SPUR

The research group Spatial Development and Urban Policy (SPUR) dedicates itself to the analysis of policy problems and spatial development questions that emerge in urban and metropolitan regions. We work at the intersection of public policy, urban politics, and spatial planning. We pursue two research agendas at SPUR: -Urban policy analysis for sustainable development: We study and evaluate urban planning and policy-making for global urban sustainable development -Densification policy analysis: We examine how the densification of the build environment can be realized in a democratic way and without amplifying social inequalities
