We are a group of Ethiopian engineers, architects, and planners who have formed a task force to address the significant infrastructural challenges facing Ethiopia as its population is projected to reach 190-200 million by 2050. We are organizing an international conference to present thoughtful, practical, and bold solutions to these challenges. With the support of leading professional organizations, an international steering committee will lead this effort and select a Blue Ribbon Panel to write a comprehensive report. This report will serve as a starting point for a national conversation among policymakers, professionals, and stakeholders towards concrete and actionable policies. The report will offer bold and actionable grand ideas for addressing Ethiopia's top 10 challenges through peer-reviewed research reports and white papers.
