ETHIQUABLE est une SCOP, une société coopérative dont les salariés détiennent le capital de l’entreprise.
Depuis 2003, elle agit en faveur d’un commerce équitable exigeant - prix rémunérateur, relation directe & durable, appui sur le terrain -exclusivement basé sur l’agriculture paysanne. Ethiquable s'engage auprès des petits producteurs du Sud mais aussi, depuis 2011, auprès des producteurs français avec la marque Paysans d'ici.
Agréée entreprise solidaire d’utilité sociale (ESUS), la SCOP affiche sur ses produits « Ce que je défends » pour expliquer aux consommateurs sa démarche.
Elle est en lien avec 49 coopératives de petits producteurs. Chacun des 150 produits équitables et bio est issu d’un terroir, d’une organisation avec laquelle un projet de développement et d’autonomisation est identifié. ) 4 agronomes accompagnent sur le terrain les producteurs pour réaliser ces projets de commerce équitable.
