Founded in 2014, ET Index Research was a mission-driven organisation dedicated to helping investors and corporates identify, understand, and manage climate and carbon-related risks. It produced a comprehensive public ranking of the world’s largest listed companies according to the carbon intensity of their activities.
In 2016, the launch of Engaged Tracking Index Ltd. marked the beginning of the commercialisation phase. It was accompanied by a new management team, seed investment and a new board. The founding executive team of Engaged Tracking Index Ltd. left in April 2019.
As of March 2020 Engaged Tracking Index Ltd. underwent capital restructuring and change in business model. A new management team was appointed, and the new company now trades under the name of ‘Urgentem’
