ETRTO

ETRTO - located in the heart of Brussels - was founded in October 1964. It represents the European Tyre, Rim and Valve Industry as one of the major standardization bodies in the world. Its principal objects are to achieve interchangeability of pneumatic tyres, rims and valves in Europe as far as fitting and use are concerned, to establish common engineering dimensions, operational guidelines and to promote the free exchange of technical information pertaining to tyres, rims and valves. ETRTO standards are recognized by institutional and technical stakeholders in Europe and beyond, while ETRTO promotes global standards harmonization activities. ETRTO also contributes to relevant technical regulations, being involved in particular in the development of harmonized regulations for vehicles and components in the World Forum of the United Nations UNECE WP.29
