Etrurian Games

Etrurian Games is an Italian indie collective born from the shared passion of a group of friends for game development. We are hobbyist developers—self-taught, creative, and driven by the pure joy of making games that tell stories, spark reflection, and offer something unique. Our debut title, Letters from the War, is a narrative-driven interactive text adventure set in an alternate World War II timeline. You play as an officer of the Censorship Authority in Vitulia, a fictional authoritarian regime that tightly controls communication from the front lines. Your task is to read and decide whether to censor or approve letters sent by soldiers. Every decision shapes the nation's fate and leads to one of multiple possible endings. Released for free on Steam on January 24th, 2025, Letters from the War features handcrafted pixel art, an atmospheric original soundtrack, six Steam achievements, and branching narrative paths. Built entirely in Unity, the game has been warmly received by players, earning over 85% positive reviews and generating thoughtful discussions about its themes and moral dilemmas. This project was entirely developed in-house: from narrative writing and coding to art and sound design. We poured our heart into every aspect, working in our free time, learning by doing, and supporting each other throughout the journey. For us, this game represents more than just a finished product—it’s the result of friendship, creativity, and the passion to build something meaningful without any commercial pressure. At Etrurian Games, we don’t chase trends. We tell stories the way we want to tell them—raw, emotional, and unfiltered. And we do it because we love it.
