EU Raw Materials Coalition

The EU Raw Materials Coalition (EURMC) is a network of civil society organizations (CSOs) dedicated to promoting environmental justice, reducing primary resource dependency, and advocating for systemic change in raw materials governance. Our work focuses on amplifying the voices of communities impacted by raw materials extraction, producing research and case studies to highlight social and environmental harms, and building the capacity of CSOs to engage effectively in EU policy discussions. Through advocacy, awareness-raising, and capacity-building efforts, we push for a sufficiency-first approach that prioritizes resource reduction, circularity, and durable solutions. By fostering collaboration and centering community experiences, EURMC aims to drive transformative change in how raw materials are managed and sourced. The EURMC is hosted by the European Environmental Bureau (EEB).
