The EU Delegation in Strasbourg is part of an extended network of more than 140 EU Delegations and Offices operating around the world. Inaugurated in January 2011, the Delegation has since served as the permanent diplomatic representation of the European Union to the Council of Europe.
Our mission is to advance the interests of the Union and its 27 Member States within the Council of Europe while joining forces with Council of Europe bodies and institutions to promote human rights, the rule of law and democracy on the European continent.
Our actions and initiatives on the ground always aim to provide concrete benefits to our citizens, in line with our core values and principles.
