The European Diamond Capacity Hub (EDCH) is dedicated to strengthening the Diamond OA community across Europe. By supporting institutional, national, and disciplinary capacity centres, as well as Diamond Publishers, Service Providers, and Tools and Technology Providers, the EDCH helps build a sustainable, high-quality, and community-driven scholarly communication infrastructure.
Our work focuses on aligning practices, fostering collaboration, and providing essential resources:
1) DOAS and Self-Assessment Tools: The Diamond Open Access Standards (DOAS) and associated self-assessment tools help publishers and service providers evaluate and improve the quality of their open access practices.
2) Publishing Tools: A suite of tools to support publishers in managing and tracking publications, ensuring an efficient and sustainable workflow for open access scholarly publishing.
3) Registry and Forum: A centralised space for listing and networking with Diamond OA publishers and service providers across Europe, fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practices.
4) Resources and Guidelines: A set of practical resources and guidelines to assist publishers and service providers in navigating the complexities of Diamond OA publishing, offering advice on best practices, sustainability, and management.
5) The Diamond Discovery Hub: An interactive platform to discover open access journals, articles, and resources, making Diamond OA content easily accessible to researchers, scholars, and institutions.
6) The Training Platform: A learning hub that provides training modules and professional development opportunities for those involved in Diamond OA publishing, promoting skill-building and professionalisation.
