Eudemonia is a 100% female managed co-operative, formed to meet the challenges of youth employment in South Africa.
Our focus is to develop the youth in South Africa and to give our members access to business opportunities.
Eudemonia is a Greek word commonly translated as ‘happiness’ or ‘welfare’ and refers to human prosperity and blessedness.
Eudemonia the co-operative is managed by a dedicated team of youth development specialists consisting of consultants, managers, and administrative personnel responsible for identifying, developing, and promoting business opportunities for our members.
Why Eudemonia Exists:
The unemployment rate in South Africa is at an all-time high and has shown an increase of 30.1% in the first quarter of 2020 (Stats SA, Quarterly Labour Force Survey released on 23 June 2020).
A further increase is expected as a result of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
As a co-operative Eudemonia focuses on youth employment. We constantly work towards identifying and realising new opportunities that will benefit and empower our members. Our existence is established around our members. We are dedicated to empower our members to gain work experience and to become employable within the South African economy.
Member Opportunities:
We offer a variety of opportunities to our members. We partner with companies which are on the lookout for additional resources and personnel to assist them with specific tasks on either a short-, medium- or long-term basis. Once we have identified the opportunity and finalised the details these opportunities are promoted to our members through various communication channels which include our website.
