EUROMYCEL

Euromycel is a French, mushroom spawn laboratory located in the Loire valley, where the commercial cultures of Champignon de Paris originated. The company was founded in 1960, by Georges Guilbaud, to supply quality mycelium to the cooperative Champignon de Paris (now France Champignon). They were the leading cooperative of mushroom producers in the world. Through decades of modernization within the French mushroom industry, Euromycel has developed an impressive expertise (a certain savoir-faire) associated with a unique strain collection. In 2000 Euromycel started to export their strains, while remaining a supplier to its parent company France Champignon. In 2010 Euromycel, as part of France Champignon, was bought by the world leaders ‘Bonduelle’. The purchase allowed Euromycel to overhaul their historical commercial spawn facility and invest in first-rate, modern technologies. Euromycel has become an outstanding, international supplier of customized mushroom spawn. Euromycel is the first laboratory to highly specialize its strains, crucial, in the process to meet more accurately our growers’ expectations.
