Evanostics is a Silicon-Valley-based start-up founded by engineers and toxicologists in 2016 with a mission to save human lives and improve patient care by simplifying diagnostics – making it easy, fast, and accurate. Evanostics’ vision is to make diagnostic testing as simple and ubiquitous as using a thermometer.
Diagnostic testing today is not easy to use and therefore is not widely available to society. It is limited to certified clinics, labs, or physicians. The need of the hour is to make diagnostics available to communities and populations for mass testing. To enable that, diagnostic tests need to be easy to conduct in non-laboratory settings (clinics, pharmacies, offices, airports, schools, etc.) without compromising accuracy. Evanostics aims to bridge the gap by simplifying diagnostics and making it easily accessible to the communities.
Our user-friendly contained collection makes it safe to collect the oral fluid with minimal risk of aerosolization and spread. No sample handling and fully automated fluid handling allow the system to be operated with minimal training. Both these features allow the use of this system in non-laboratory settings where it is most needed to make immediate decisions. Evanostics’ technology enables it to easily add new tests to the panel. Wide deployment of this platform will enable a rapid response to new, hitherto unknown pathogens, making countries and communities future proof to new and emergent threats.
Initial applications of the platform technology are targeted at two rapidly expanding markets: drug testing (including opioids) and respiratory health (including Covid-19).
