Evaptainers takes evaporative cooling, a time tested technology, and brings it into the 21st century by employing modern design, production, and materials. By creating a refrigeration solution that runs on nothing other than sun and water we can create dependable cold-chain solutions without dependence on costly infrastructure. This will allow small rural farmers to increase the percentage of their crops that get to market thereby improving their standard of living and putting fresher food in the hands of consumers. Rural consumers can eliminate costly trips to markets to replace spoiled food, allowing them to save money and feed their households fresher foods.
We are currently working on our latest prototype in our Massachusetts and Rabat workshops and plan on testing these new designs during the 2016 growing season in Morocco in an expanded field trial.
