European Virus Bioinformatics Center

The EVBC is a network of experts from virology and bioinformatics who join forces to enable a extensive exchange and collaboration between the two research fields. New sequencing technologies and the "Big Data" era are opening up new opportunities to answer basic fundamental questions in virology and highlight the need for virus-specific bioinformatics tools. The EVBC intensifies the exchange of ideas and thus initiates enhanced scientific collaboration between the disciplines. We also aim to increase the international visibility of virus bioinformatics, attract and promote young scientists, and support education in this field.
