How we give has seen changes as well, with DAFs absorbing nearly 20% of total charitable giving. Crowdfunding platforms that give directly to those in need, skirting nonprofits and the tax incentive; however, without much accountability for how the money is spent. We're still making the majority of our giving during the end of the year, from Thanksgiving until Christmas; leaving nonprofits to struggle with fundraising deficits through the majority of the year.
