Az Építési Vállalkozók Országos Szakszövetsége 1989 októberében alakult meg. Jelenleg mintegy 190 tagszervezete van, tagjai között a legjelentősebb építőipari vállalkozásokon túl számos kis- és középvállalkozás is megtalálható.
A szakszövetség ellátja a magyar építési vállalkozók szakmai érdekképviseletét, hozzájárul az építésügy fejlesztéséhez, szabályozását elősegítő tevékenységhez, az építésügy hatékony működéséhez, a hazai és nemzetközi kapcsolatok fejlesztéséhez.
The National Federation of Hungarian Contractors was established in October 1989. It currently has about 190 member organizations, and in addition to the most important construction companies, there are many small and medium-sized enterprises among its members.
The federation represents the professional interests of Hungarian construction contractors, contributes to the development of construction industry, to activities promoting its regulation, to its efficient operation, and the development of domestic and international relations.
