EVRAZ Wasco Pipe Protection Corporation (EWPPC) started from EVRAZ North America wanting to supply to their customers world class protective coatings on the petroleum and natural gas pipes that it manufactures here in Regina, SK, Canada. To this end, EVRAZ NA joined Wasco Energy Group of Companies, which is an international pipe coating and plant engineering and installation company, to build an innovative pipe coating facility that is one of the world's most advanced.
EWPPC first broke ground in Regina in September 2015, and coated our first pipe in October 2016. Our facility has the capacity to coat pipes from 16” to 54” in diameter, up to 80’ in length. We coat with fusion bond epoxy and abrasion resistant overcoat on the outer diameter of pipes, and can internal flow coat pipes from 24” to 42” in diameter.
