The AOTS sees itself as a professional association with a service concept strongly oriented towards the needs of the individual members. The strategic focus of its services is on professional and educational policy with the aim to -secure the long-term existence of the occupational therapy profession -maintain high quality agreements with contractual partners and to constantly obtain new ones (tariff security, securing compensation from insurance companies). -make a significant contribution to the further development of the profession -secure a strong position in health policy in close cooperation with schools, school associations, partner associations in the field of medical-technical-therapeutic professions as well as national and international umbrella organisations of occupational therapy These services benefit all occupational therapists in Switzerland, whether they are members of the association or not. Part of the membership fee is therefore understood as a solidarity contribution for professional commitment in the interest of their own profession. In addition, the AOTS provides numerous services directly and exclusively for its members.
