EW Wald AG

EW Wald AG is an independent company owned by the political municipality of Wald ZH and supplies around 10,000 inhabitants with electricity. It operates an extensive electricity distribution network of around 240 kilometres in length with technically complex systems. In addition to supplying energy, EW Wald offers advice and customer service in the areas of renewable energies, energy technology, electrical appliances, building technology, heat pumps, photovoltaics, photothermal energy, e-mobility, smart homes and other services in the field of electrical installations. The history of Elektrizitätswerk Wald dates back to 1897, when the Brunnengenossenschaft (well cooperative) was considering the introduction of electric lighting in Wald ZH.
